Assistant Professor (Storrs Campus)
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut (UConn) welcomes applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a Number Theory focus.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Ph.D. (or international equivalent) in Mathematics or closely related field by August 2024.
- A proven record of research accomplishments in Number Theory.
- A proven record of teaching effectiveness and excellence for university-level mathematics.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in higher education through research and teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years or more of postdoctoral research experience.
- Evidence of successful mentorship of undergraduate or graduate students.
- Evidence of commitment to training programs and outreach activities in Number Theory.
Appointment Terms
This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position with an anticipated start date of August 23, 2024. The successful candidate’s academic appointment will be at the Storrs campus. Faculty may also be asked to teach at one of UConn’s regional campuses as part of their ordinary workload. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
