Math major Tyler Reese was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Tyler worked under guidance of Luke Rogers, Dan Kelleher and Sasha Teplyaev. He will continue his research in the Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics graduate program at the University of Michigan. The Mathematics Department’s Annual Awards Day took place on April 30 at 3:30 PM in IMS 20. The invited address, Math is not a spectator sport, was given by Glen Whitney, the president of the Museum of Mathematics.
